And what about Durmstrang being an all boys school? ‘Cause those staff moves were awesome and I’m still quite pissed off that apparently feminine people can’t do cool rhytmic staffbanging. (Also holy shit I now realize it was phallic.)

And I couldn’t remember if Durmstrang was boys-only in the book but I don’t think it is and now I’m angry about that, too. 

I thought Durmstrang was all-male in the book? (Or at least, I remember having annoyed conversations with a friend about why aren’t there any female students at Durmstrang because reasons, and I’m sure I would have gone ‘but there were some in the books so why did the movies leave them out?’ if they had done…)

Apparently in the book Durmstrang was primarily but not exclusively male, and Karkarof just brought (almost?) all dude students. 

Ah, fair enough! It is ages since I read them.
